Wexford 1-10 Dublin 1-8:A late scoring flourish from Patrick Sinnott helped Wexford to a victory over Dublin at Wexford Park. With 10 minutes remaining the sides were deadlocked at 1-6 each, with a 35th minute Graham Cullen goal bringing Dublin back into contention. However, the visitors were unable to put away the Wexford challenge, despite a Kevin Leahy point putting them 1-7 to 1-6 in front a minute later.
Sinnott stepped into the breach to rescue the home side. A pointed free put the side level again but the Kilmore club man added three points to edge his side into a 1-10 to 1-7 lead with three minutes remaining and, despite Barry O'Hanlon reducing the deficit, Wexford hung on for a dramatic victory.
Earlier Paddy Byrne's goal after 23 minutes had earned Wexford a 1-4 to 0-4 lead at the interval.
