The Ooni pizza oven was one of those runaway success stories, a product that caught the imagination of the public – and their wallets – and sold a bucketload. The standard Ooni is wood or gas fired, but the company has added an electric version that can be used indoors too. That might be particularly interesting to Irish would-be pizza chefs, as the Irish summer isn’t known for its predictability.

It has a triple-paned borosilicate glass door and can sit on your kitchen worktop. It also has adjustable dials to control the top and bottom heating elements to make sure you get the perfect pizza. There is also a built-in timer and temperature control to give you full control over the cooking process.

Be warned though: the new Ooni has an even heftier price tag than its predecessors, at €900. At that price, this is a luxury item that would be out of the reach of even the fussiest pizza lover.
