Centra recorded sales of €1.43 billion in 2012, the retailer announced today.

The retail chain also said it will invest €20 million in 2013 adding 20 new stores to its network. Last year, the retailer opened 18 new stores nationwide.

The investment will result in 400 new jobs according to Centra managing director Martin Kelleher.

Some 100 of these jobs will be created by the opening of a number of new greenfield sites, with the balance created by store extensions and other independent stores joining the Centra network.
