Cannabis worth €1.5m seized following search of vehicle in Dublin

A 66-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the seizure

A 66-year-old man has been arrested after gardaí in Dublin seized cannabis with an estimated street value of €1.5 million.

The seizure was made following after the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau stopped and searched a vehicle in west Dublin on Tuesday afternoon.

The man was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Lucan Garda Station.
