A pedestrian has died in hospital after being hit by a van in Co Cork yesterday evening.
The man, who was in his 50s, was walking along the N22 road at Farnanes at around 5.25pm when he was knocked down as he crossed the road.
The victim was taken to Cork University Hospital where he died later.
A total of 351 people have been killed on the State's roads so far this year.
