Sir, – Roger Cole (Letters January 27th) complains that the call by the Peace and Neutrality Alliance (Pana) for a ceasefire and negotiations chaired by the United Nations has been “ignored by our Irish Government”. I am not sure that he is right.
More to the point, however, it seems that Pana’s call has (incredibly) been ignored by the Russian government. – Yours, etc,
