Sir, – In my 94th year, I still enjoy reading The Irish Times every morning. Brendan Crowe’s comments (Letters, March 21st), on two letters written by people with the surname Crowe appearing on the letters page of March 19th, reminded me of my delight many years ago when you published my letter complaining about one of your journalists and his stance on a particular matter.
A few weeks later, my wife, Mary Crowe, much to my amusement, wrote in to say how great she thought the same journalist was.
Over 63 years, our nest was filled with love, fun, lively debates and the occasional disagreement like that one. I miss her dearly. – Yours, etc,
