Sir, – Most new cars have built in sat-nav systems that track when you cross into different speed limit areas. An annoying beep when travelling too fast might slow traffic down in these speed-restrictive zones.

Repeat offenders could be forced to listen to a recording of someone talking about their newly acquired home solar panel system. That would stop them in their tracks. – Yours, etc,
