Sir, – In dismissing potential negative consequences of Brexit, Ken Andrew (August 22nd) is suffering the same prematurity of those he accuses of perpetuating "Project Fear".
Britain has not yet left the EU. UK unemployment has therefore fallen to a 42-year low while Britain is a full EU member.
Manufacturing is at a 30-year high while access to the single market is unrestricted, exports are up 10 per cent year on year before the introduction of tariffs, and banks located in London have not yet had their financial passports revoked.
Are all of these factors unconnected?
