Bacik’s class credentials

Sir, – Does anyone, including herself, know what Ivana Bacik meant when she countered her alleged cosseted middle-class background with the claim that she “went to national school in West Cork, actually”.

I, who also went to national school in West Cork, am particularly puzzled by the “actually”. – Yours, etc,
