Sir, – No doubt, educators dressing up sixth-class national school pupils in military-style costumes with replica guns to "take the GPO" was well-intended as a fun educational lesson – albeit with a risk of promoting an armed-violence ideology. (Front-page photograph, The Irish Times, March 17th).
Another lesson educators might consider would be to have pupils draw chalk outlines around bodies on the ground in memory of all those who died because of violence.
