Sir, – Patsy McGarry's splendid piece "In a Word – Ballaghaderreen" (March 3rd) expressed the sentiments of those of us fortunate to be born in Ballaghaderreen, Co Roscommon.
It would be a great pity if the severe weather conditions that both delayed and restricted distribution of the Weekend edition of The Irish Times prevented the Lisdoonvarna locals mentioned in the same paper from reading it! – Yours, etc,
