Sir, – In the course of Jennifer O'Connell's interview with Louise O'Neill ("My career took off, I fell apart", Magazine, May 14th), Ms O'Neill talks about the anxiety she felt when on Twitter. I found Louise O'Neill's solution quite paradoxical. Despite finding the pressure "to have a fully formed opinion instantly" on social media "almost unbearable", she says she continues to have a Twitter account, managed by her boyfriend. Is this not a case of holding a poisoned chalice but having someone else drink from it? – Yours, etc,
JOHN MacKENNA,
