Sir, – While it is a move in the right direction for Catholic schools to divest themselves of sacramental preparation (Front page, May 15th) the time saved should not be used to further academic subjects.
Rather it should be invested in inculcating a programme of moral education so that students, upon graduation, would have both the analytic tools and motivation to reform their society from one based on greed to one of service and justice. – Yours, etc,
